Gigabyte has unveiled its latest product called the Aorus X399 Gaming 7. This motherboard is, of course, made to cater for AMD’s recently announced Ryzen Threadripper family of processors. Like other X399 motherboards announced earlier, the Aorus X399 Gaming 7 is also equipped with AMD’s TR4 socket.
Gigabyte’s Aorus X399 Gaming 7 is an ATX motherboard that comes in a dashing “black and silver” colour scheme. Following the trend of recent motherboards, the Aorus X399 Gaming 7 is also endowed with tons of LED-lit areas (RGB). Gigabyte also mentioned that there are several “armour plates” around the motherboard to provide extra durability.
That aside, when it comes to specifications, Gigabyte’s Aorus X399 Gaming 7 comes with all the bells and whistles of an X399 motherboard. These include eight DIMM RAM slots (quad channel); five PCIe 3.0 x16 slots; and three M.2 32Gbps slots. Connectivity options range from eight SATA 6Gbps ports; two USB 3.1 ports; ten USB 3.0 ports; as well as built in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
According to sources, Gigabyte’s Aorus X399 Gaming 7 will be made available from 10 August 2017, and the motherboard may come at a price tag of around US$300 (about RM1,284). More information regarding this motherboard can be found here.
