Neffos X1 Lite Now in Malaysia for RM499

Neffos, TP-Link’s smartphone brand, is introducing a new affordable device in Malaysia: the Neffos X1 Lite. Not surprisingly, it’s really a more budget-friendly variant of the higher-end Neffos X1; the X1 Lite also retains the X1’s metal construction.

For an affordable smartphone, the X1 Lite is actually pretty well-equipped. It comes with a 5-inch HD display, a MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, and a modest 2,550mAh battery. It also ships with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box; a pleasant surprise for a budget-friendly smartphone.

Rounding up the specifications of the X1 Lite are a 13MP f/2.0 rear camera with phase detection autofocus, a 5MP front-facing shooter, and a rear fingerprint sensor. The X1 Lite is available in two colours in Malaysia: Cloudy Grey and Sunrise Gold.

The Neffos X1 Lite will be available at all authorised Neffos retailers and resellers in Malaysia from August onwards. The X1 Lite is also available for purchase online on Lazada; every purchase will come with a “Neffos Premium Gift Box” or a “Fazbulous Warrior T-shirt” signed by Fazura herself, the ambassador of Neffos.

Retailing at RM499, the Neffos X1 Lite is one of the most affordable Android smartphones in Malaysia. While it’s not as well-equipped as other mid-range devices in the market, it’s certainly an interesting option.
