Whether you like their offerings or otherwise, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) is a name that well-known throughout the world. In China, the fast food restaurant even has its own smartphone through a recent collaboration with Huawei.

Made to celebrate KFC’s 30th anniversary in China, the collaboration seems rather apt as Huawei was also established in 1987. The chosen smartphone for this collaboration is the latest iteration of Enjoy 7 which is essentially a mid-range device.

Equipped with a 5-inch HD IPS display, the new Enjoy 7 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425. It also comes with 3GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage, 13-megapixels rear camera, and 3020mAh battery. Given the occasion, it is not surprising that both companies decided to paint the special edition phone in red colorway.

An engraving of Colonel Sanders logo on the phone’s back further differentiate the KFC edition from the standard Enjoy 7 model. Additionally, the device is also pre-loaded with KFC app that includes the ability to activate digital jukebox at KFC locations throughout China.

Die-hard KFC fans are able to get their hands on the special edition Huawei Enjoy 7 starting from tomorrow onwards for CNY 1099 (about RM 696) . However, only 5,000 units will apparently be made available and as if the signs are not obvious enough, the phone can only be obtained in China.
