Facebook is finally expanding its Find Wi-Fi feature to everyone else in the world. Introduced in selected countries last year, it is a very useful tool to help users locate free Wi-Fi around them, and even help navigate them to that area.
To use the Find Wi-Fi feature on Facebook, simply tap the “more” tab on your Facebook app. In there, look for “Find Wi-Fi”, and turn it on. Facebook will then show you all the free public hotspots around you; you can even learn more about the businesses hosting them.
This is an opt-in feature for businesses, so if you own a café that offers free Wi-Fi to customers, and would like to attract more people, just make sure you list that out on your business page.
Find Wi-Fi was initially introduced last year. It not only helps those who are always on-the-go stay connected, but also is especially useful in areas where cellular data is limited.
Find Wi-Fi on Facebook is available right now on Facebook app for Android and iOS.
