It looks like Apple is not only announcing software updates and new devices at its on-going WWDC 2017. The Cupertino company also announced that its reality show, Planet of the Apps, will premiere at 9pm PT on 6 June 2017 – that’s 12PM today for us Malaysians.
There are a total of 10 episodes in Planet of the Apps, with new episode released exclusively on Apple Music each week on Tuesday evening PT. The first episode will be available for free on iTunes and planetoftheapps.com, with promotion on Apple.com.
Planet of the Apps is an original series about apps and their creators. Developers will pitch their ideas to four of the “world’s most culturally influential entrepreneurs” including Jessica Alba, Gwyneth Paltrow, Gary Vaynerchuk, and will.i.am. If selected, developers will be mentored on how to pitch their app to Lightspeed Venture Partners for a chance at real finding. If you wish to try these apps out, they will be featured on the App Store as well.
Planet of the Apps has been in the works for a while now, and Apple dropped its first trailer earlier this year. For those of you who have been waiting for it, it is finally here. Check out Planet of the Apps website to find out more about the reality TV show from Apple.
