I’ll wait for Vega cards with HBM instead of GDDR5!

  • ZeroHunter

That’s it…. no more shit is given. even lowest is on RM600. I’m going back buying 2nd hand. those price just as same as RX400 series. there’s nothing such as “affordable” once it reach malaysia.

price per performance for amd card in malaysia is going backward, better order it directly from oversea than buy from local

    • Microsuck 360

      Totally agreed….sigh..

    • Skywax9016

It doesn’t make sense at all, to have RX550 at RM599 when it is definitely slower than RX460, which is already slower than GTX1050 at RM579.

      • Meor Ajrul

it just mindblown for our local retailer to even put those price much higher than nvidia card even amd itself marketing their card way lower than the green team

        RX580 performance on par between GTX1060 6GB and GTX1060 3GB which price around RM 920 – 1.6k
but it cost a bomb for amd which is ridiculous

        • Skywax9016

Yup, complete nonsense. The Radeon RX 550 is supposed to be a card between RM379 to RM429. The Radeon RX 580 is supposed to be a better option than GTX 1060 for performance per buck category. Sad that AMD cards are sold at non-competitive price over here.

I’ve always thought about ordering from overseas but ain’t overseas shipping alone cost like RM200++?

Plus some of my friends who have ordered from overseas before got their stuff pinned down at Kastam and so they had to pay more extra money in order to receive their stuff…

Also, what about warranty-wise? Desperately needing some guide for overseas shopping here~

Blame you-know-who. Woke up this morning, paypal say conversion rate is now almost RM5 to US$1.

      Currency will improve my foot.

    • David Lee

Indeed. Markup getting ridiculous. Aside from that the currency is also not in very good shape- this morning Paypal’s rate is almost RM5 to US$1.

Why is shipping up until RM200? Some seller provides free shipping, while others have options on selecting an express or standard shipping.
Kastam only pins down items that cost more than RM500 if I’m not mistaken.
From my experience, shipping cost is between free to below RM100. And I never bought more than RM500 so all my items arrived safely.

        • Raymond Leok

Well by overseas ordering I’m usually referring to amazon shipping, that’s why.
500…in this case I’m like 99% likely to have my 1k gpu stuck at Kastam ain’t I…fuk.

          • Skywax9016

I see, maybe you could buy something from Hong Kong or China as a change. The shipping cost should be far lower from over there.

  • yongchin89

with that price i better get 1060?

  • Abu.Salimah

    No 560 yet?
On price, the 560 is supposed to be $99
So it’s supposed to be around RM500…

You are paying for high quality RGB , dont complain

    • мurdock

      hehehe

    • David Lee

I didn’t want RGB. I’m praying for all these RGB motherboards and videocards craze to pass. Don’t need it. I do like cases with a transparent side panel, but it’s more for convenience, ie to spot bloated capacitors so can RMA before it actually does damage. If lighting also just some white static LEDs (from the ventilation fan) is enough for convenience so I don’t have to shine torchlight into the case.

In fact, my belief is that lighting is distracting me from looking at the screen to get things done.
