The Nintendo Switch may not come with Bluetooth audio support. Basically, this means that you won’t be able to sit on your couch and game while using a Bluetooth headset.
The new report from French site Melty says that not only will there be no Bluetooth audio support for the Switch right out of the box but that it is actually “impossible” to use Bluetooth audio devices with the hybrid console. Oddly, the news site has not provided any reasoning behind the lack of support for the technology.
However, the standard audio jack is still present on the Switch, except there’s one problem: it’s located on the display portion of the console. As far as I know – by referring to the Switch’s ‘promo book’ from Nintendo – it doesn’t seem like either of the Joy-Cons will come with an audio jack.
This means that if you wanted to play the Nintendo Switch on ‘docked mode’ while using a headphone/earphone, then you’d probably have to be positioned very close to the console and television – or you could just a longer HDMI cable, that’ll work too.
