It somehow managed to avoid our radar but nevertheless, we have noticed that the Alienware Aurora gaming desktop with 7th generation Intel Core processors are now available from Dell Malaysia. Officially referred to as the Aurora R6, it was part of Intel Kaby Lake-based refreshed models that Dell announced at the recent CES 2017.
In general, customers have two options of liquid-cooled Kaby Lake chip they can choose for their Aurora R6: the Core i7-7700 and Core i7-7700K. At the same time, they also have the option to equip the PC with up to 64GB DDR4-2400 RAM although the Core i7-7700K model can also be fitted with the slightly faster 32GB Kingston HyperX Fury DDR4-2667 XMP RAM.
In terms of graphics cards, customers can choose from single NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 up to dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 cards although the Corei7-7700K model is only available with dual GTX 1080 cards as standard. Storage-wise, the Aurora R6 can be equipped with up to 1TB PCIe solid state drive as its boot drive and 2TB 7200rpm SATA hard drive as generic storage drive.
Not to forget, customers can also opt for a Blu-Ray writer instead of the standard DVD writer. The new Alienware Aurora R6 can be obtained immediately from Dell Malaysia’s official website with a price tag of RM 6,999 onwards.
