Ahead of the device’s official launch in Malaysia later this week, Vivo today has officially unveiled its latest smartphone which is called the V5 Plus. Not only that, its Malaysian pricing has also been revealed by a local retailer as Vivo Malaysia dealers begin to accept the pre-order for the device.

As you might already know, one of the main attraction of the new V5 Plus is its front camera which features two different sensors. According to our understanding, the 20-megapixels IMX378 sensor from Sony is used to capture high level of details while the secondary 8-megapixels sensor is designed to obtain depth-of-field information at the same time.

Hence, it is not surprising that Vivo has included Bokeh Mode and Shot Refocus functionalities for users to take advantage of V5 Plus dual front camera setup. Not enough with that, Vivo has also equipped an LED flash specifically for V5 Plus’ front camera.

On the back of the phone, there’s also a 16-megapixels camera, and another LED flash. All three cameras on the phone are equipped with f/2.0 lens.

As for the other part of V5 Plus, it is equipped with a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS display and is powered by a 2.0GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625. The phone also features 4GB of RAM, 64GB internal storage, AKM AK4376 DAC with headphone amplifier, and 3,160mAh battery.

In terms of pricing, DirectD has listed the V5 Plus at RM 1,799. Interested consumers are able to pre-order the new phone through the retailer as well as other Vivo dealers throughout Malaysia right away and they should be able to pick up their unit this weekend.
