Google DayDream View VR Headset To Be Released In Five Countries

Google’s new Daydream View VR headset is set to go on sale on 10 November in five select countries. As expected Asia is not among the launch locations; which isn’t really a problem as we don’t have any Daydream ready phones yet.

The US, Canada, UK, Germany, and Australia will be the first countries to see the Daydream View on sale. Interestingly, there will be a limited number of places that will carry the headset – especially for the European countries. Of course, there is always the Google store for those who rather not visit a physical location.

Daydream View requires the use of a Daydream ready smartphone; of which only two currently exist. The US-only Pixel and Pixel XL; and the ZTE Axon 7. In other words, there is going to be a very small number of people who will be able to actually use the Daydream View at launch. That being said, this could be a sign that more compatible phones are being made available very soon.
