Apple Malaysia has finally listed the price of the new Apple AirPods in Malaysia. The wireless headphones from the Cupertino company is listed at RM849 on Apple Malaysia’s online store, and as expected, is currently unavailable for purchase.

For RM849, you get the AirPods, along with a charging case that when combined, can give you over 24 hours of total listening time. There’s also a Lightning to USB cable for your to charge up both the AirPods and its case when necessary. This is pretty expensive when compared to the price of the AirPods in the U.S., which retails at US$159 – that’s about RM670. For comparison’s sake, the AirPods retails for SG$238 in Singapore – that’s about RM719.

The Apple AirPods wireless headphones was first announced in early September 2016 at Apple’s iPhone 7 launch event. It is powered by the custom-designed Apple W1 chip, which produces extremely efficient wireless connection and improved sound. The W1 chipset also manages battery life very well, giving users up to five hours of listening time in a single charge.

But what makes the new AirPods interesting is how easily it connects to different devices. Apple says that it can connect automatically with all your Apple devices, and seamlessly switch between them, offering an effortless experience.

Sadly though, the AirPods were originally scheduled for “late October”, The Cupertino company recently announced that the launch would be delayed as they need “a little more time”. No specific timeline has been announced, but since the price has already been listed, let’s hope that they will not take too long.
