Logitech has unveiled its latest gaming mouse called the G102 Prodigy; and it comes with specifications that may be tempting for gamers on a budget. Despite being ‘less profound’ compared to the likes of, say, the G502 Proteus Spectrum or the G900 Chaos Spectrum, Logitech’s entry-level gaming mouse comes with respectable specifications for its price.
One of the key features of the Logitech G102 Prodigy gaming mouse is its sensor. Logitech has fitted the gaming mouse with a ‘new’ optical sensor, which it claims to be even more accurate than ever before. The optical sensor inside this gaming mouse is capable of sensitivity settings from 200 up to 6000 DPI (dots per inch), which can be adjusted on-the-fly.
Another interesting feature of the G102 Prodigy gaming mouse is the fact that it comes with an “advanced button tensioning system”. According to Logitech, this feature will allow the two main buttons of the gaming mouse to register a ‘click’ without the need for much force.
When it comes to design, the Logitech G102 Prodigy is somewhat subtle. It doesn’t come with an aggressive-looking design that’ll make your friends envious; instead, the gaming mouse features a simple matte black body that is endowed with LED lighting (RGB, of course) which can be found on the palm rest area. Logitech’s newest gaming mouse isn’t very large either, it measures in at 116.6mm x 62.15mm x 38.2mm – not to mention that it only weighs 85 grams.
The Logitech G102 Prodigy gaming mouse has already been made available for retail and it comes with a modest price tag of RM98. PC gamers looking to buy a reliable ‘budget’ gaming mouse should definitely keep an eye out for this one.
