Bykski, a well-known water block manufacturer from China, has released its latest water block for Nvidia’s recently announced GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti graphics cards. It’s worth noting, however, that Bykski’s newest water block is only currently compatible with custom GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti by Colorful – because the graphics card manufacturer has the largest market share in China.
Bykski’s newest water block is officially named as the N-IG1050ONCE-X, which is a mouthful to pronounce. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with a simpler name. That aside, according to the company, its water block features a copper base along with a nickel plated surface. Besides that, being a full-sized water block means that the N-IG1050ONCE-X will provide direct cooling for the VRAMs and GPU.
Fitting a water block on an entry-level graphics card that barely consumes 75W of power isn’t something that most would do; but it may still be considered by folks that are particularly keen on having a ‘silent’ graphics card – this, and the fact that it looks pretty cool.
Bykski did mention that it will be launching more water blocks for custom GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti graphics cards soon. The N-IG1050ONCE-X has already been made available and it comes with a price tag of US$79 (about RM330). Unfortunately, there’s no telling whether it’ll be sold here in Malaysia.
