By now, you should able to see vast amount of gaming notebooks from manufacturers throughout the world that are equipped with the new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10-series graphics cards. For those who prefer to get their hands on such laptops from a homegrown brand, they are able to do so through local laptop customizer Illegear in Damansara.
At the time being, the GTX 10-series option is only available for S and D series although customers still have five different laptops to choose from. However, the availability of the graphics card also depends on each respective models.
For example, the GTX 1060 option is only available for D5 and D7X at the moment while the S5 and S7 will only receive their GTX 1060 in early September. The same case applies to D9X as well whereby dual GTX 1070 and GTX 1080 options are already available to customers today but not for single card setup.
Meanwhile, Illegear has pointed out to us that these laptops also come with several new features including programmable RGB keyboard and two USB 3.1 Type-C ports on S5 as well as S7. Aside from that, D9X also receives 120Hz display panel as its default display while D7X receives new physical design.
There is also ESS Sabre HiFi DAC for headphones output on D5, D7X, and D9X. Not to forget, all Illegear gaming laptops now come standard with Microsoft Windows 10 Home as its operating system. As for pricing, Illegear’s GTX-10 series gaming notebook starts from RM 6,199 onwards and available directly through its official website.
