We have briefly discussed about this particular graphics card before prior to the global release of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060.  Now, gamers in Malaysia are now able to check it out in flesh as the brand new GIGABYTE GTX 1060 G1 Gaming graphics card has landed in our shores.

As reported before, the GTX 1060 G1 Gaming is equipped with a significantly different thermal solution than NVIDIA Founders Edition card in the form of Windforce 2X cooler that features two 90mm fans alongside a heat sink that contains a pair of composite copper heat pipes that are in direct contact with the GPU. The cooler’s fans itself comes with specialized fan design and spins in opposite directions to each other in order to provide optimum cooling for the card.

In addition to that, the fans on GTX 1060 G1 Gaming could also deactivated automatically if the card’s operational temperature is deemed low enough. At the same time, users are also able to customized the RGB lighting on the GIGABYTE logo and Fan Stop indicator that are located on top of the card through the company’s own Xtreme Engine utility that can be used to overclock the card as well.

Built with an 8-pin power connector, the GTX 1060 G1 Gaming is also equipped with a LED underneath the said connector which help inform users if there are any power irregularities happening to the card. It also comes with high-grade chokes and capacitor alongside 6+1 power phases and metal back plater to ensure the card’s durability.
