Today alone, Yes has unveiled its range of data plans in Malaysia and introduced its very own – and very affordable – Yes Altitude VoLTE-enabled smartphone. Also showcased at the company’s launch event today are two very interesting smartphones: the Xiaomi Mi Max and Redmi 3S, which we have spotted in SIRIM’s database only a couple of days ago.

When we asked a Yes representative regarding this, the individual confirmed that both the Xiaomi Mi Max and Redmi 3S will be entering the Malaysian market soon. Naturally, the representative did not give us any specific launch date, although it shouldn’t be too long from now; both devices have been registered with SIRIM, after all.

Considering the fact that Yes is showcasing both of these new Xiaomi devices in Malaysia, there is a chance the company will offer the Mi Max and Redmi 3S with its range of data plans. After all, both of these smartphones support Yes’ 4G LTE network. Naturally, the Yes representative we spoke to did not share too much information with us; it will be very interesting to see if Xiaomi and Yes are working on any particular partnership.

Regardless, it shouldn’t be long until we hear more about the Xiaomi Mi Max and Redmi 3S’ availability and retail prices in Malaysia. Rest assured, we will keep a close eye on these details.
