It appears honor Malaysia has brought in a new variant of the honor Band Z1. Dubbed simply as the honor Band SS, it is essentially a more premium offering to the Band Z1 with a new strap: it is made from genuine Italian leather, according to the company.
Judging by the product page of the honor Band SS on Vmall.my, only the strap differentiates this new variant from the more affordable Band Z1. It should be able to track a user’s activities, his or her sleeping patterns, as well as the ability to push notifications – from the device paired to it – to the wearable.
As for hardware, the Band SS is packed with a 1.06-inch 128 x 128 PMOLED display, a Cortex M4-based STM32F411 CPU from STMicroelectronics, an IP68 water and dust resistance, as well as a 70mAh battery that can supposedly last up to four days of active use. For the Malaysian market, two strap lengths of the Band SS are available: a 395mm or a 430mm one.
The honor Band SS is currently available for purchase on honor’s online site, Vmall.my. Retailing at RM399, it actually costs RM140 more than the standard model, which retails at RM259. Regardless, those who are looking for a more premium Band Z1 may be interested in the Band SS.
