Apart from launching Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL in Malaysia today, the new Lumia 550 also made it first official appearance in our market. But instead of normal consumers, the smartphone will be released to enterprise market first.
Specifically, the Lumia 550 will be offered as part of DiGi’s SmartPlan for Business. In fact, the device will be made available for free under DiGi SmartPlan 98 for Business customers. Despite that, the pricing for the phone is not known for the time being even though it is scheduled for release by end of December.
As for normal consumers, both Microsoft Malaysia and DiGi are not able to pinpoint release date or pricing for Lumia 550 for the time being. Hence, it seems like this particular model is strictly for enterprise market despite being positioned as the most affordable LTE Windows 10-based Lumia smartphone at the moment.
