The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will be launched in Malaysia on 16 October 2015, but it looks like Maxis will be offering it a week earlier. The telco just announced that the pre-order for both devices will begin on Friday, 9 October 2015 at their online store.
If you wish to get the iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus from Maxis, make sure you have a Maxis Online Account because you will need one to pre-order the phones. For existing Maxis subscribers, you need to make sure your bill is paid up to date, and that you are on a Maxis principal line because only the principal line can place a pre-order. If you are on a supplementary line, contact Maxis to switch to a principal line.
The pre-order will be open for non-Maxis subscribers too, the telco says that you will be able to sign up for a new postpaid plan during the pre-order.
On top of Maxis, the rest of the major postpaid telcos in Malaysia will be offering the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus too. Celcom’s preorder will also start on 9 October 2015, while you can register your interest with Digi and U Mobile now.
