Back in 2013 when Apple launched the iPhone 5s, they gave Burberry an early access to the device to use it to shoot the fashion brand’s runway show, and now, the company is doing it again with the newly announced iPhone 6s/iPhone 6s Plus. Both devices are only available for preorder in a handful of countries at the moment, and will only be launched to consumer this Friday 25 September 2015, but Vogue has an early access to the iPhone 6s Plus to use it to shoot the New York Fashion Week.
Just how good is the new 12MP iSight camera with 4K video recording capability? Vogue wants to put that to a test, which is why the fashion company hired “iPhone photography expert”, Kevin Lu, to capture the New York Fashion Week using the iPhone 6s Plus. How did it go?
“It’s a lot quicker, so I can get more shots that I want, so I don’t miss much. I also do videography, so the 4K video is really helpful because the quality is absolutely insane on a mobile phone and you can see a lot of detail. With a 12-megapixel camera, you can really get some incredible details, and you can zoom in a lot closer when you need to.” — Kevin Lu
So how do the pictures look like? Here are some samples given by Kevin Lu. When the post first came out on Vogue, some users discovered that Vogue used the wrong photos, which were captured using the iPhone 6 Plus. Vogue has since corrected their post to reflect the correct images.
