Apple’s sales for iPods may not be doing very well for the past few quarters, but it doesn’t mean that the company will stop the business. Pictures of unannounced iPod touch, iPod nano and iPod shuffle was published into the latest version of iTunes that was released just yesterday, and the company is expected to launch these devices as soon as 14 July 2015.
As seen above, the picture shows the iPods in never seen before colour options – dark blue, gold and hot pink. The current lineup of iPods is already available in a range of colours including blue, pink and yellow, but are of significantly different shades compared to the picture above. Apart from the colours, everything else about the iPod touch, nano and shuffle remains the same, so it could be only a small update.
As for the launch date, AppleInsider notes that according to the date found on the Calendar app, the launch could happen as soon as 14 July, since it falls on a Tuesday, matching the details shown on the app. Showing the launch date on the device has always been Apple’s marketing strategy.
The Apple Watch was held on Monday, 9 March , while the iPhone 6 event was Tuesday, 9 September. Since 14 July falls on a Tuesday, Apple could announce these new iPods on that day.
