Huawei announced the company’s latest Android smartphone called the Huawei SnapTo. Its latest addition to the company’s more affordable line of smartphone happens to boast fast and efficient image capture, hence, the name SnapTo.
The Huawei SnapTo is a 5-inch smartphone with a 720p display. The device is running on a quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 Qualcomm MSM8926 Snapdragon 400 processor paired with 1GB of RAM. It has a 5MP camera with LED flash on the back and a 2MP camera on the front for selfies. There is also an Ultra Snapshot camera activation feature where users can press the lower volume button twice to start capturing photos.
In terms of storage, the device has 8GB of internal storage which is capable of expansion via microSD with 32GB as its maximum capacity. Connectivity wise, the smartphone will have the standard Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and even LTE. Rounding off the specifications are a 2,200mAh battery.
So far, the Huawei SnapTo is geared towards the American market as pre-orders are now available on Amazon.com, and the phone will be available in more stores starting next week. It is being sold for $180 (about RM659), but only time will tell if the Huawei SnapTo will arrive on Malaysian shores.
