Honor Malaysia will be opening pre-orders for the Honor 4X soon, its latest mid-range smartphone. Surprisingly, it will go for only RM619 instead of its earlier price tag of RM699. We know what’s on your mind: the RM619 retail price is inclusive of GST, which just make the Honor 4X an even more compelling smartphone.
What makes the Honor 4X particularly different from other mid-range device is its processor. Instead of using the typical Qualcomm Snapdragon or Mediatek processors, the Honor 4X is powered by Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 620 64-bit 1.2GHz octa-core processor. Although the number of cores doesn’t necessarily mean it will offer a good performance, an octa-core processor at this price range is always good.
Other specifications of the Honor 4X include a 5.5-inch 720p IPS display, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded with a microSD card up to 32GB, a 3,000mAh battery, and 13MP rear and 5MP front-facing cameras. It also has dual-4G SIM slots, which is quite uncommon for a mid-range device.
