As you might have heard, Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be released in Malaysia on Friday, 7 November. In case you are still sceptical of the announcement made by the Yellow Man DiGi, Maxis has also confirmed that it will be offering the new smartphones from Apple on the same day.
Additionally, the telco has also announced that customers are able to pre-purchase both devices on 31 October through its online store at store.maxis.com.my. Unfortunately, these are the only information that Maxis has conveyed to media today regarding the upcoming release of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
Furthermore, Maxis didn’t widely publish the news through its website and social media channels at the time this article is published. For a telco that has been actively teasing the imminent release of the device into Malaysia, Maxis is surprisingly very quiet regarding the whole deal. While it might sounds like one of the telco’s usual Registration of Interest websites, the site did state that it requires details from users in order to determine their “readiness” to purchase the new smartphones from Apple through Maxis. Once the details are submitted, Maxis will apparently e-mail users back within the next 3 days to inform users of their readiness to purchase iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus. How interesting.
