Oppo R1L Now Available in Malaysia for RM1,198

Oppo may have an event scheduled for next month, but the Oppo N3 isn’t the only thing the Chinese company has up its sleeves. Oppo Malaysia recently announced the arrival of the Oppo R1L smartphone in Malaysia for a retail price of RM1,198. The Oppo R1L is a mid-range smartphone with luminescent colors in an exquisite slim design.

The Oppo R1L is basically an FDD-LTE version of the R1S that was launched in China about half a year back. It feature a 5” 720p display and right beneath that is a 1.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It has a 13MP shooter at the back and a 5MP front camera. Other specs include a pretty slim profile of only 7.1mm, Adreno A305 GPU, 4G LTE enabled, a pretty generous 2410mAh battery on board, and will run on Android 4.3 out of the box.

The Oppo R1L may be a mid-range Android smartphone, but what makes the R1L stand out lies in its design. The device boasts an exquisite design that has been carefully crafted and put together. As described by the Chinese company, it has “Luminescent Screen, Exquisite Aesthetics”.

“Using specially selected third-generation Corning Gorilla Glass, the R1L’s screen is exquisitely crafted after  months of careful handling that involves 13 polishing processes for the back cover, 20 hours of diamond-cutting processes, and 42 refined procedures. The finished luminescent screen exudes a fascinating radiance.”
