Lenovo Y50 Keyboard

Three notebooks from Lenovo are now available in Malaysia. These are the Y50-70, Z50-70, and Flex 2; which are aimed at different consumers. The Z50 is optimised for multimedia entertainment and features a full 1080p HD display with optional graphics card, while the Y50 is best used by gamers with its UHD screen and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M graphics card. The Lenovo Flex 2 continues to build on the folding form factor introduced by the original Lenovo Yoga, although it doesn’t quite go all the way into tablet mode.

Lenovo Z50

As an entertainment platform, the Lenovo Z50-70 offers a generous array of options with a choice between the Intel Core i5-4210U and the Core i7-4510U on a 15.6-inch form factor. Consumers are offered the option of purchasing it with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 840M; although this is only available with the Core i7 variant. Memory options begin at 4GB of RAM and is expandable up to 16GB of DDR3L. It looks like a decent option for those who do little more than just watch movies and social media. The silver finish moves away from the iconic Lenovo matte black and has it end up looking like every other notebook on the market.

Lenovo Y50

The gaming minded Lenovo Y50-70 starts with a standard Intel Core i7-4710HQ and a 1TB HDD. There is a choice of 15.6-inch displays as the manufacturer is offering both a standard definition FHD WLED screen and a UHD IPS display. Inside it also houses up to 16GB DDR3L RAM and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M graphics card for squeezing a little extra performance out of games.

Lenovo Flex 2

As a device that follows in the footsteps of the Yoga, the Lenovo Flex 2 also does the folding trick to provide multiple ways of making it stand upright. It also comes in a variety of specifications and screen sizes. The 14-inch display is a HD LED multi-touch screen, and allows consumers to choose between and Intel Core i3-4030U and a Core i7-4210U. Storage starts at 500GB, and goes up to a full 1TB HDD.

Lenovo Flex 2 Back

The Lenovo Flex 2 15.6-inch variant comes with a FHD IPS Multi-touch display with an Intel Core i7-4510U processor. Storage is locked at a 500GB Hybrid SSHD. Both variations of the Flex 2 are equipped with a NVIDIA Geforce GT840, Dolby Advanced Audio stereo speakers, and up to 16GB of DDR3 RAM.

All three notebooks are already available in stores. The Lenovo Y50-70 starts at RM3,999 while the starts from Z50-70 at RM2,399. The Lenovo Flex 2 14-inch begins at RM1,699 and the Flex 2 15.6-inch at RM2,799.
