The Sony Xperia Z3 is not even confirmed, heck, even the Sony Xperia Z2 Compact hasn’t been announced, but rumors and leaks about the Xperia Z3 Compact are already getting strong. The latest Xperia Z3 Compact leak not only shows off the device taken by Mr. Blurry Cam, but also reveals its specs.
According to the leaks that were published on a Chinese Sina Weibo website, the Z3 Compacts looks like your average Sony Xperia Z series smartphone with squared edges and covered ports. It features a not so compact 4.6” display (the Xperia Z2 comes with a 5.2” display) and packs some very impressive specs under the hood.
Like the Z1 Compact, this device may be smaller physically, the inside features almost the same powerful hardware found on its larger sibling. The leak says the Z3 Compact will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor with 3GB of RAM and of course, it’ll also come with the Japanese company’s very own 20.7MP camera in tow.
The Sony Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact are expected to be unveiled in IFA trade show happening in Berlin, Germany this September. In case you forgot, the Xperia Z1 was unveiled just last year at IFA 2013, just in time for the half year upgrade cycle Yoshiro Kurozumi, Sony Mobile’s Creative Director, Director of Product Planning and UX General Manager once mentioned before.
