After a long wait, ASUS Zenfone 5 has finally arrived in Malaysia last month with a slight change to its component. As you might know, the device is now equipped with 2GB of RAM instead of just 1GB as per original announcement.
Here comes another surprise though: we have just learned that the next shipment of ZenFone 5 for the Malaysian market will apparently feature a bigger internal storage space as opposed to the model that was released last month.
Specifically, it will come with 16GB worth of internal storage. As a comparison, the existing Malaysian unit of ZenFone 5 only carries half of that amount at 8GB. This fact was revealed in the latest ASUS Zenfone catalogue for July – August 2014 from ASUS Malaysia.
That being said, the rest of the specifications remain the same. It is not known at the time being whether there will be changes to its price tag as well.
At the same time, the catalogue has also revealed that ASUS Zenfone 6 which already on its way to the market (finally) will carry 16GB worth of internal storage space. Again, that is twice the amount of storage that ASUS originally intended to ship with Zenfone 6. As far as we could tell from the catalogue, no changes have been done to other parts of the device.
