You might have heard that Microsoft will be having an event in New York tomorrow at around 11pm Malaysian time that will be focusing on its flagship tablet series, the Surface. Since the news of the event went online, rumors that the Microsoft will be unveiling new devices such as Surface Mini and Surface Pro 3 starting to build up.
Over the weekend, WP Central has even managed to obtain information regarding several initial details of Surface Pro 3 including hardware specs and pricing.
According to WPCentral’s sources, the Intel-based Surface Pro 3 will be available five configurations such as:
– Core i3-4GB RAM-64GB: USD 799 (RM 2567)
– Core i5-4GB RAM-128GB: USD 999 (RM 3209)
– Core i5-8GB RAM-256GB: USD 1299 (RM 4173)
– Core i7-8GB RAM-256GB: USD 1549 (RM 4976)
– Core i7-8GB RAM-512GB: USD 1949 (RM 6261)
In addition to that, it is also stated that Microsoft will be releasing new Type Covers to cater Surface Pro 3 which is rumored to be bigger (specifically, in 12-inch range) than its predecessors. The new cover will apparently be released in black, purple, cyan, and red.
The predecessors: Surface Pro 1 and Surface Pro 2.
Apart from the larger screen size, WP Central sources also pointed that Surface Pro 3 will have a smaller bezel and its Windows button will be located on the vertical side of the tablet. Well, let’s see how accurate all these information are in around 24 hours time.
