2014 MSI Notebooks G Series Malaysian Launch

It might be not as known as its motherboard or graphics card division, MSI Notebooks has produced plenty of models under its wings that caters to various type of users and budgets. Nevertheless, it seems like the company has really sets its eyes on the gaming notebook market in Malaysia for 2014 as it has just launched several new MSI G Series notebooks for our market.

By several, I mean 17 laptops in total. Yup, SEVENTEEN new models for 2014 including the MSI GS60 Ghost Pro that is shown above – all designed for gaming. Let that sink for a bit.

While having 17 new models in the market might sound bonkers, things become slightly less complicated once you look at how MSI divided its G Series product:

Furthermore, all of the series above offers models that are equipped with either 17.3 or 15.6 inch full HD display.  In general, almost all of these laptops are also running on the 4th generation Intel Core processor and the newly released NVIDIA GeForce 800M graphics card series.

Only the GX series models are equipped with AMD hardware in the form of the Richland-based 2.5GHz AMD A10-5750M quad-core processor and Radeon R9-M290X graphics card with 2GB GDDR5 memory. Unfortunately, MSI Malaysia is not planning to release the much touted 3K version of its G Series laptops in our market due to pricing concerns.

Here is a quick look at the general specifications of all 2014 MSI G Series gaming notebooks:
