Checked your web Facebook today? Of course you have, if you click into a comment section on any of the posts you see, you’ll find a brand new icon sitting on the far right of the comment text box – a camera icon that allows you to upload and post images directly in the comment section.
The feature was first reported by The Next Web, who saw it on Wednesday, but it looks like since early this morning it’s been fully rolled out, almost. It’s still not working on a handful of posts on my wall but I guess it has something to do with the privacy settings.
Sadly, animated GIFs are not supported in the comment section, neither is it supported in normal status updates within Facebook. Stay tuned for more interesting news to come from Facebook as the social networking website will be hosting a mysterious event later today, possibly to introduce a Vine competition to Instagram.
