It’s been a while since Google updated its Translate app and it looks like the internet search giant has a surprise for all of us today, especially for frequent travellers. Earlier this morning, Google introduced a new offline language package for Google Translate on Android, with support for 50 languages from French to Spanish to Chinese, Arabic and many more.
Available for Android version 2.3 and above, update or download Google Translate app from the Play Store. Once done, you can select Offline Languages in the app menu to see all the language packages available for download. Pick the ones you need, download them, and you’re good to go. The next time you travel to a foreign land, you won’t need a data connection anymore to look up for a translation on your Android phone.
