Back in May, Intel Malaysia launched a half-year long Generation Today’s campaign which also included a trade-in programs for old PCs. Right after the campaign concluded last month, the company now have announced yet another trade-in program called “Trade Up My PC” which will last until 31 January 2014.
However, the new Trade Up My PC program is relatively different from the trade-in promo that took place during Generation Today’s campaign. Instead of giving away cash rebates for users to purchase new PCs in exchange with their old PCs, the new program offers cash refund instead. What this means is that users will receive the cash refund (of up to RM 650) directly in their bank account.
Hence, the mechanics for this program is slightly different too as consumers must first purchase one of three HP Pavilion 14 notebooks that Intel Malaysia have shortlisted for the program. After that, they then need to submit a claim through the program’s website and hand over their old notebooks once the claim is approved. Only then they will receive the cash refund from Intel Malaysia.
Obviously, the cash refund is subject to the condition of your old laptop. To get a clearer view on how Intel Malaysia’s new Trade Up My PC program works, check out its official website over at tradeupmypc.com.
