ASUS Malaysia Reduces Retail Prices for its High End Zenbook Touch and Taichi Ultrabooks

ASUS Malaysia have announced price reductions for two of its premium Ultrabooks, the Zenbook Touch as well as the dual-screen ASUS Taichi. The discounts, which goes up to RM500, is applicable from today.

The Zenbook Touch was actually announced in November last year, but was only available in Malaysia in March this year. Featuring a 13.3-inch Full HD IPS touch-enabled display, the ASUS Zenbook Touch was one of the first touchscreen Ultrabooks in the world. It is powered by an Intel Core i5-3317U processor with 4GB of RAM, with a 128GB SSD fitted inside. There are also two USB 3.0 ports and Bluetooth 4.0, all in a svelte 1.3kg chassis. The Zenbook Touch is now retailing at RM3799, down RM300 from RM4099.

On the other hand, the ASUS Taichi is the world’s first dual-display Ultrabook, featuring two 11.6-inch Full HD displays, with one of them touch-enabled. It is powered by an Intel Core i5-3337U processor with 4GB of RAM, 256GB SSD, and even a 5MP rear camera for use in tablet mode. Connectivity wise, the Taichi has two USB 3.0 ports, micro HDMI, mini VGA, volume rocker, and even a screen switch button. The ASUS Taichi also weighs only 1.25kg, and will now retail at RM4099 – a RM500 discount from its original RM4599 retail price.

Both Windows 8 Ultrabooks are also enhanced with SoundMaster audio technology, which ASUS developed with Bang & Olufsen. For more information about both ASUS devices, head on to ASUS Malaysia’s website here, or get in touch on ASUS Malaysia’s Facebook page here.
