It looks like every flagship smartphone deserves a mini-me companion – the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini, the HTC One mini, the rumored Sony Xperia Z1 mini, now, even the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is rumored to have a “mini” version as well, called the Samsung Galaxy J. Not quite as small as the others out there that have a 4.3” display, the Galaxy J, is rumored to be a cross between the Galaxy S4 and the Note 3, featuring the same design language as the Note 3, in the size of an S4.
The device was leaked by Japanese carrier, DoCoMo, in its new catalogue, with a 5” Super AMOLED 1080 x 1920 FHD display at the front. Beneath that is a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 chipset with 3GB of RAM on board, 32GB of internal storage, 13MP rear camera, 2,300mAh battery, 4G LTE connectivity, and will be water and dust proof. To be available in three colors – Coral Pink, Satin White and Lapis Blue, it is believed that the device will only be launched in Japan (Galaxy J indicating that it’s Japan-only) on 10 October 2013.
