It has been established that Samsung is developing its own smartwatch, as the trend for wearable technology gains traction. However, a new patent application by the Korean giants may just have provided some hints on what the device will look like when it is eventually launched.
Moveplayer uncovered three patent applications by Samsung, which suggests how the final Samsung smartwatch will eventually look like. The key feature here seems to be a flexible display that wraps around the user’s wrist. At the bottom of the display, there are buttons which seem to resemble Android navigation buttons. On top of that, there are some unmarked buttons and areas which may be where the power button, microphone or USB cables will be located.
Of course, patent applications do not always end up in production – nor does it always look 100% similar to the patent filing. However, this design may very well end up as a template for the Samsung smartwatch, when it is eventually launched.
