Samsung’s World Domination Step 1: Corporate Makeover

Being the world’s largest manufacturer of smartphones in addition to its burgeoning reputation as one of the best makers of computer monitors and HDTVs is definitely not making Samsung rest on its laurels. As one of the world’s largest tech-related companies, Samsung is aiming to further increase its popularity with a refresh to its company image.

To do this, they have hired a freelance brand consultant, Scott Bedbury – whose previous clients include Nike – to rebrand the company to one with greater international appeal. As part of the corporate makeover, its advertising will paint Samsung to be linked more to “lifestyle activities, similar to what Nike does”.

Of course, it’s not just the insides that are being overhauled: Samsung’s current logo will also be scrapped and in place of a new one which is currently in development.

If all goes to plan, Samsung will announce its brand new image at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this coming January.
