LG Malaysia Confirms LG Optimus Vu will be Arriving in Malaysia

LG Optimus Vu

It looks like LG is not going to be missing out on all these 5″ smartphone madness, LG Malaysia’s Facebook page just announced that the company will be bringing in the LG Optimus Vu to our market. After much research, we realized that there are actually quite a number of LG Optimus Vu smartphones out there. When it was first announced for the Korean market, the original Vu packs a dual-core processor under its 5″ hood. In August 2012, LG announced an international variant with a quad-core processor, possibly the same model that will be launched here. Unfortunately though, they did not mention any time frame but we hope it’s soon, at least, before the Vu II gets launched in other parts of the world.

What sets the LG Optimus Vu apart from other 5″ devices in the market is how it comes with an aspect ratio of 4:3, giving it a rather squarish look. Measuring at 8.5mm thin with a weight of 168g (that’s thinner and lighter than Samsung Galaxy Note II), it’s designed with the company’s very own True HD IPS display with a resolution of 1024 x 768 resolution. Processor wise, it’ll be powered by a Super 4-PLUS-1 quad core CPU. Other specs include 8MP rear camera and Rubberdium stylus for intuitive navigation. For more information about the LG Optimus Vu, check out this post.

I know I mentioned before how much I dislike the design and how squarish the 4:3 aspect ratio makes the phone looks. Of course, that’s just me judging the phone based on pictures, I definitely can’t wait to get my hands on one just to see if I’m right, or wrong. Are you excited to see what LG has to offer?
