You know how when you wish to get a brand new device at a subsidized price from a telco, you need to be tied up for 24 months under the most expensive postpaid plan they have? Well, not with DiGi’s promotion. A couple of months ago, the telco had some online offer that sold devices with only a 12 months contract under its more affordable plans and now, the sales is back with high-end devices for sale from as low as RM599.

From now until 28 October 2012, DiGi is having a roadshow in Ipoh Parade Shopping Centre and if you were hoping to land your hands on a tablet or a new smartphone, you know where you’ll be spending your long weekend. DiGi is offering the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 Plus and the HTC Sensation XE at RM599, as well as the HTC Sensation XL at RM799. The promotion ties you up to a 12 months contract under DG Smart Plan 68.

HTC Sensation XE (RRP RM1,999)RM1,415
HTC Sensation XL (RRP RM2,099)RM1,615

Judging by the recommended retail price, this is actually a very good deal because even after paying RM68/month for 12 months, the total cost of ownership is still lower than the retail price of the devices. However, since this is based on “while stocks last” and judging from how fast they get “sold out”, I suggest you to be quick because the promotion starts today!
