vivo has launched its latest V-series smartphone, the vivo V80, in India. The new mid-ranger is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset and features a Zeiss-backed triple-rear camera setup.
The phone has an aluminium frame and glass back, measuring 7.79mm thick and weighing 210g. It is offered in Horizon Blue, Stellar Black, and Sunrise Anthem colour options.

The vivo V80 features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Full HD+ resolution of 2750 x 1260 pixels, and up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness. It also comes with an in-display 3D ultrasonic single-point fingerprint sensor and IP68/IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
Under the hood, the phone runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Powering the device is a 7,200mAh battery with support for 90W wired charging.

For photography, the vivo V80 has a Zeiss triple-camera system comprising a 50MP Sony LYT 700V main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and autofocus. It is joined by a 50MP Sony IMX882 telephoto camera with OIS and 3x optical zoom, as well as an 8MP ultrawide camera, while the front gets a 50MP autofocus camera.
Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, and eSIM support. On the software side, the phone runs vivo’s OriginOS 7 based on Android 17 out of the box.
In India, the vivo V80 starts at INR62,999 (~RM2,670). There is currently no word whether there will be a Malaysian release, although it should be noted that it has already appeared in SIRIM’s database.
Meanwhile, vivo has already launched the V80 Lite in Malaysia last month, with prices starting from RM1,499. The local model features a 6.83-inch 120Hz OLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chipset, and a much larger 10,000mAh battery with 44W charging.
