Late last month, vivo said that it will be launching the V80 Lite on 3 September, with some items from its spec sheet already revealed at the time. Now, as promised, the phone has been officially launched in Malaysia. And with that, the company also confirmed that the phone comes in three configurations, and therefore three prices.
We already know that the vivo V80 Lite packs a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED screen, but now the company shares that it has a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, as well as a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Inside, it runs a MediaTek Dimensity 7300e, and the 10,000 mAh battery, with support for 44W charging. The company also makes a big deal about it being awarded the Guinness World Record for the “Longest Electronic Product Testing Livestream”, at 32 hours and 37 minutes. It’s a very specific record, but it’s there.
At the back, the vivo V80 Lite has a 50MP + 2MP camera setup, and a 32MP secondary snapper in front. For its OS, it runs OriginOS 6 overlay over Android 16. Wrapping it all up are the IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
The vivo V80 Lite comes in three configurations, which are 6GB + 128GB, 6GB + 256GB, and 8GB + 256GB. Accordingly, these are priced at RM1,499, RM1,799, and RM1,999 respectively. Colour options include Pink, Green, and a more conventional Black. Availability doesn’t begin immediately, but the phone is now available for pre-order, until 11 September. Get it by then, and you’ll also get a RM100 rebate, as well as free gifts worth up to RM1,145.
As an additional aside, the feature that allows some of your storage to sort of also serve as memory is also not available immediately. This will roll out starting 24 September instead.
