Razer officially launched the Kraken V4 X Sensa HD Haptics Edition headphones. Basically, the headset is the V4 X that we reviewed back then, just with haptics installed.
Then, as now, the Kraken V4 X Sensa HD Haptics Edition is a wired headset, featuring Razer’s Chroma RGB LEDs built into the back of the earcups. The obvious update here is, as its name mentions, the addition of the brand’s Sensa HD Haptics response technology.

Simply put, the new Kraken V4 X Sensa HD Haptics Edition feeds…well, haptics through the headset, adding another layer of immersion and realism to the content that’s played through it. As described on the official product page:
“Sensa HD Haptics supports real-time audio-to-haptics conversion, transforming sound into responsive haptic feedback. Designed to work with all forms of audio content, enjoy your favourite games, movies and music with next-level immersion. Enhance your enjoyment even further with an ever-growing list of Sensa-tuned game profiles created to meet your specific preference.”

Specs-wise, the Kraken V4 X Sense HD Haptics Edition fits Razer’s TriForce 40mm drivers in each earcup. The headset has a frequency response ranging from 20Hz to 20kHz, with an impedance of 32 Ω.
The headset’s retractable microphone uses Razer’s Hyperclear Cardioid mic, providing users with crystal-clear voice recognition for in-game communication, while also reducing ambient noises heard in the background. Additionally, the earcups also use the same flowknit memory foam cushions, providing cool comfort to the ears during prolonged gaming sessions.

Again, like the original V4, the Kraken V4 X Sensa HD Haptics Edition also ships out with support for 7.1 surround sound, provided through Razer’s own proprietary surround sound
software. Just register the product to your Razer ID, key in the activation code, and you’re good to go.
The Razer Kraken V4 X Sensa HD Haptics Edition is already available and retails for RM469.
