Samsung is expected to reveal several new products, ranging from speakers to monitors and even SoCs, early next year during CES 2026. Naturally, these products enhance the way people interact with technology in their daily lives. However, a recent report claims that the tech giant will also unveil a new health-focused service at the trade event, aimed at improving mental well-being, called Brain Health.

According to Chosunbiz, Brain Health is an upcoming service that will analyse a range of collected data to help detect early warning signs of cognitive decline. The publication noted that the service could also alert users to potential indicators of dementia.

To do this, Brain Health will continuously collect any changes in a user’s voice, gait, and sleep data through smartphones and wearables, like smartwatches and rings. If the service does detect any signs, it will inform its user and even provide some preventive measures. Following its assessment, the service will offer features designed to improve the user’s cognitive function, including personalised brain training programmes.

Chosunbiz noted that Samsung Electronics has “effectively completed in-house development” of Brain Health and will be conducting clinical validation “in collaboration with medical institutions”. The publication also quoted Samsung as saying the company aims for a “continuous healthcare” model that can handle everything from daily management and prevention to improving one’s mental well-being.

Naturally, since the service relies on collecting users’ personal metrics, Samsung will use its security platform, Samsung Knox, to enhance protection. The company plans to address potential vulnerabilities by keeping data on the device itself, without connecting to external networks or the cloud.

Samsung Electronics aims to expand Brain Health across mobile devices and wearables to advance its healthcare offerings and build a wearable-focused, data-driven health management ecosystem. The company has been steadily expanding its health-related services in recent months. A notable example is its partnership with Sunway Medical Centre Velocity (SMCV) to launch the Galaxy Watch8 Health Screening Package. Shortly before that, Samsung also introduced Sleep Apnea Detection to its smartwatch series.

Circling back to Brain Health, Chosunbiz cited a source claiming that the service is “entering its final stage of development” and that “specific launch timing and applicable applications are under review, but we plan to put it at the forefront as we advance healthcare features”. The publication also noted that Samsung is “accelerating the advancement” of its healthcare services. Analysts believe Samsung’s healthcare business will become more established with Brain Health.

Many people globally fall victim to this cruel cognitive impairment. Since signs and symptoms often go unnoticed, and many don’t realise they have dementia until it is too late. Needless to say, having a system that can catch these signs early on is great.

Not to burst anyone’s bubble, but it’s worth noting that Chosunbiz did not cite any specific source. As a result, we cannot verify whether this report is accurate. It’s good to be optimistic, but take this news with a grain of salt.
