Earlier this year, it was discovered that a unified CelcomDigi app was in the works. At the time, the app could be downloaded, but was not accessible to the public. Now, CelcomDigi has officially launched the app. This new CelcomDigi app will be replacing the existing Celcom Life and MyDigi platforms, which will be phased out by the end of the year.
Developed in-house, the app combines the features found in Celcom Life and My Digi. Among the highlights of the new app is the ability to directly manage multiple lines and services, regardless of whether they are Celcom or Digi. Aside from that, it comes with an auto-reload feature that allows prepaid customers to keep their lines active without interruptions.
Of course, users are still able to purchase add-ons within the new app. This includes services relating to calls and data, such as roaming pre-booking for those travelling abroad. Beyond that, users can manage entertainment features such as streaming subscriptions for Disney+ and Viu.
Aside from that, the CelcomDigi app includes security features like biometric sign-in, one-device protection, as well as electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC). Safety is further bolstered with a dedicated page containing tools and tips. The previously launched MobileSHIELD app is also accessible here. Other capabilities include the new AI-RA AI chatbot for customer support, as well as a gamified system that offers rewards for daily logins. Finally, a For You feature learns the user’s habits to offer tailored suggestions based on their preferences.
The CelcomDigi app is available for download via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. As part of the launch, the telco is offering rewards including a 100GB one-time high-speed data pass for RM1 with unlimited purchase. Customers can also get special rates for streaming like Disney+ (Basic) at RM12.90/month, Disney+ (Premium) at RM27.90/month, and Viu at RM3.90/month. For postpaid customers, the company is offering free roaming and IDD calls for 12 months.
As for the existing Celcom Life and MyDigi apps, they will be discontinued on 31 December 2025. As such, the telco advises customers to switch to the new platform as soon as possible.
