MG Motor Malaysia has announced the updated pricing for its all-electric (EV) hatchback, the MG4 EV. Previously available in four variants, the model is now offered in just three: the MG4 Luxury at RM100,888, the MG4 Lux Extended at RM128,888, and the MG4 XPower at RM138,888.
Compared to earlier prices, the latest figures represent a significant reduction, most notably for the Luxury variant, which now costs almost RM30,000 less than before. As for the Lux Extended and XPower, prices have dropped by up to RM21,000 respectively.
The MG4 features a rear-wheel drive (RWD) layout across all variants, each equipped with a single motor. In terms of performance, the Luxury variant delivers 150 kW and 250 Nm of torque, while the Lux Extended produces 180 kW and 350 Nm. The XPower, meanwhile, generates an impressive 320 kW and 600 Nm.
All three variants are powered by NCM battery packs. The Luxury comes with a 64 kWh pack, offering up to 435 km of WLTP range. The Lux Extended is fitted with a larger 77 kWh battery, capable of delivering 520 km of range. As for the XPower, it shares the same 64 kWh pack as the Luxury but has a reduced range of 358 km due to its higher performance output.
The current MG4 pricing also includes a complimentary 7 kW AC wallbox charger or charging credits. It also offers total savings of up to RM10,000 for the MG4 XPower and MG4 Lux Extended, and up to RM7,000 for the MG4 Luxury.
Additionally, the MG4 is backed by comprehensive warranty coverage, which includes a seven-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty. It also comes with an eight-year/180,000 km high-voltage battery warranty and an eight-year/160,000 km warranty for the drive motor and motor control unit.
Alongside the MG4 price revision, MG Motor Malaysia has also introduced the Ultimate Ownership Package for the MG5. The package offers savings of up to RM10,000 and includes a complimentary 7 kW AC wallbox charger, or alternatively, customers may opt for charging credits.
The MG S5 EV is offered in three variants: COM, COM Long Range, and LUX Long Range. The COM variant is available with either a 49 kWh or 62 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, providing a WLTP range of 340 km and 430 km respectively.
The LUX Long Range, on the other hand, is equipped exclusively with the 62 kWh battery. Across all variants, the MG5 EV delivers 170 PS and 250 Nm of torque, sent to the rear wheels via a rear-wheel drive (RWD) setup.
