Last year, Singaporean brand PRISM+ launched the Luna smart air conditioner into the Malaysian market. More recently, the company has announced a Classic version, which does without all of its smart features. At the same time, the company also announced what it calls PRISM+ Care. This is a servicing subscription plan, but naturally it’s only for those that bought the company’s ACs.
This PRISM+ Care service entitles customers to free gas top-ups and periodic chemical washes. Cleaning is also done using the brand’s FoamJet method for what is claimed to be “a deeper and more hygienic clean compared to conventional servicing”.
The subscription costs RM79 per AC unit every quarter, but customers also get the option to pay for up to seven years up front. This results in varying amounts of savings depending on the number of years you pay up front. Pay for a year and it effectively costs RM75 a unit per quarter. As mentioned earlier, also launched is the Luna Classic AC, which does away with the “unnecessary extras” as PRISM+ itself puts it. As before, it comes in 1HP and 1.5HP models, which are priced at RM749 and RM899 respectively. These launch on 1 September.
