Samsung Galaxy India has launched the new Samsung Galaxy A06 5G on their official online store. An update of the original Galaxy A06, the latest model offers 5G network support.
As per the official release, the Galaxy A06 5G has a 6.7-inch HD+ with a 90 Hz scrolling speed. It is also thinner at 0.8cm and a lot of its features have been carried forward from the non-5G model. In terms of main camera, it retains the same dual 50MP main and 2MP depth sensors while the selfie camera is an 8MP shooter.
Internally, The Galaxy A06 5G runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset and comes with up to 6GB, depending on the SKU. Additionally, it features a voice-focus filter, which according to Samsung reduces background noise during a voice call.
The Galaxy A06 5G has a 5,000 mAh battery with 25W fast wired charging, and has a fingerprint sensor on its side. It comes in three different colours: light green, light gray and black. It also comes with IP54 protection against water and dust.
Samsung is offering up to four generations of OS upgrades for the Galaxy A06 5G, which is twice the amount of the A06 OS upgrades, plus four years of security upgrades.
Price-wise, The Samsung Galaxy A06 5G retails from ₹10,499 (~RM536) for the 4GB+64GB variant and caps out at ₹12,999 (~RM664) for the 6GB+128GB model. At the time of writing, there is no local availability or pricing but considering its predecessor launched in Malaysia soon after its Vietnam debut, we reckon it should arrive very soon.(Sources: Samsung, Samsung Newsroom India)
