Insta360 has launched the Flow 2 Pro AI tracker, an attachable camera with a clip mount that utilises artificial intelligence. It is designed to work with the brand’s latest smartphone gimbal series of the same name, which was released earlier this year.
The Flow 2 Pro AI tracker is a USB-C cable-connected camera that supports various apps and smartphones, including Android. It can track video calls, livestreams, and online meetings. With gesture-control capability, it efficiently tracks both humans and animals. Users simply lift their hands to silently start or stop tracking.
The Flow 2 Pro AI tracker boasts a compact, lightweight frame and supports fine-tuned framing via its joystick. When paired with the Flow 2 Pro, it enhances tracking precision by accurately identifying subjects in different environments and through various obstructions. Additionally, it features a built-in adjustable spotlight with three brightness and colour temperature settings, making it ideal for night use.
While the Flow Pro and Flow 2 Pro also featured AI, their compatibility was largely limited to Apple devices due to Apple DockKit support. The new AI tracker, however, supports both iOS and Android devices, ensuring seamless functionality across platforms.
The Flow 2 Pro AI Tracker is available for US$42 (~RM186) on Insta360’s online store, which offers international shipping, including to Malaysia. Additionally, a bundled version of the accessory is expected to arrive locally soon, as noted by the brand’s official Facebook page.
