The Forza Horizon series may have been available on PC but on the console front it has always been an Xbox exclusive. That exclusivity is about to end, as developer Playground games has announced that Forza Horizon 5 will be available on the PS5 soon.
A little more specifically, the company says that the game will be available on the PS5 sometime in spring, but stopped short of sharing an exact date. But when it happens, it will support cross-play with existing platforms, and will have the same kind of content as well.

In addition to bringing Forza Horizon 5 to PS5, the game will also be getting a free content update called Horizon Realms. This involves bringing back “previously released Evolving Worlds, alongside some other surprises”, but again the company stopped short on providing specifics.
This is sort of in line with the overall change at Microsoft and Xbox, which is moving away from console exclusivity. In case you missed it, Xbox head Phil Spencer has said that that the company is now going to put “game first, not platform first”. The company is now swinging harder towards putting its Game Pass as its main focus.
