The government, through the Ministry of Digital, has officially launched the Rakyat Digital learning platform. It builds on the success of the previous “AI Untuk Rakyat” programme, which introduced over 1 million Malaysians to the basics of artificial intelligence (AI). The new initiative aims to centralise digital learning resources in a user-friendly, one-stop platform.

The Rakyat Digital platform offers three foundational courses: “CyberSAFE Untuk Rakyat”, which focuses on digital risks and security; “Generative AI”, covering generative artificial intelligence; and the continuation of the “AI Untuk Rakyat” programme for basic AI knowledge. The platform will soon expand with the addition of two new courses: “Data Untuk Rakyat”, designed to help users understand and utilise data in everyday life; and “Cloud Untuk Rakyat”, a course designed to empower individuals to leverage cloud technologies in their daily lives.

All courses on Rakyat Digital are free and come with certificates upon successful completion. Participants can easily register for the courses using a Google account or email via the programme’s official website.

Notably, the ai.gov.my domain, previously used for the ‘AI Untuk Rakyat’ initiative, now hosts the newly established National Artificial Intelligence Office (NAIO), which also launched today. To access the Rakyat Digital programme, users should visit the new rakyatdigital.gov.my URL instead.
